A three-time Master CFI-Aerobatic and former Marine Corps F/A-18 pilot, Mike is CEO and chief instructor of Specialized Aero Works and a factory test pilot and check instructor for Epic Aircraft. A specialist in upset prevention and recovery, spin, and emergency-maneuver training, he co-founded the Upset Prevention and Recovery Training Network and was named Flight Instructor of the Year by the Portland FSDO in 2026.
