MICEP recognizes aviation educators across flight, ground, academic, helicopter, aerobatic, and long-term Emeritus service while holding each designation to the same peer-reviewed professional standard.
MCFI
Master CFI
For individuals who primarily provide flight and ground instruction under FAA Certificated Flight Instructor certifications.
MCFI-A
Master CFI - Aerobatic
Specialized accreditation for educators with substantial activity related to spin, emergency maneuver, upset prevention and recovery, and/or aerobatic education.
MCFI-H
Master CFI - Helicopter
Specialized accreditation for educators with substantial activity related to helicopter education.
MGI
Master Ground Instructor
For individuals who primarily provide ground instruction under FAA Ground Instructor certifications.
MIE
Master Instructor Emeritus
A one-time, non-expiring honorary accreditation for long-term Master participants retiring or scaling back aviation education duties.
