Receive and correctly read back clearances/instructions, if applicable.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Receive and correctly read back clearances/instructions, if applicable.

Bottom line

When taxi instructions are received from the controller, pilots should always read back the runway assignment. You must read back the entire clearance and "hold short" instruction, to include runway identifier and your call sign. If there is uncertainty about any ATC instructions or clearances, ask ATC to say again.
