ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Selection of takeoff path based on pilot capability, airplane performance and limitations, available distance, and wind.

Bottom line

Terrain that rises faster than the seaplane can climb is an obvious consideration, both for the eventual takeoff as well as in case of a go-around during landing. If air temperatures have increased since landing, make the proper allowance for reduced takeoff performance due to the change in density altitude. If the departure path leads over high terrain, consider circling back over the water after takeoff to gain altitude.
