Maintain situational awareness and proper spacing from other aircraft in the traffic pattern.
Bottom line
When weather conditions permit, regardless of whether an operation is conducted under instrument flight rules or visual flight rules, vigilance shall be maintained by each person operating an aircraft so as to see and avoid other aircraft. Always remember to give way to aircraft on the preferred 45° entry and to aircraft already established on downwind. Even if entitled to the right-ofway, a pilot should yield if another aircraft seems too close.
