Garmin retrofit gains FAA approval for original Cessna CitationJets
Owners of eligible early CitationJets have a manufacturer-supported route to modernize their flight decks.
Textron Aviation announced on September 22, 2026 that an all-Garmin avionics retrofit is available for original Cessna CitationJets, serial numbers 525-0001 through 0359, following FAA supplemental type certification.
The package combines G600 TXi displays, TXi engine instrumentation, GTN 750Xi navigation and communications equipment, and the GFC 600 digital autopilot. Features include stabilized-approach monitoring and audible takeoff V-speed alerts. Installation is available through Textron Aviation’s service network.
The announcement extends the manufacturer’s modernization offering to these early CitationJets. It does not establish eligibility for every aircraft in the wider CitationJet family.
