Advance power smoothly on the operating engine and accelerate to VSSE/VYSE, as appropriate, +10/-5 knots during recovery.

Bottom line

Recovery is made to straight flight on the entry heading at VSSE or VYSE. The pilot increases power to the operating engine, and demonstrates controlled flight before restoring symmetrical power. The recovery should not be accomplished by increasing power on the windmilling engine alone.
