Maintain straight-and-level flight using proper instrument cross-check and interpretation, and coordinated control application.
Bottom line
Cross-check and proper instrument interpretation are essential components of “attitude instrument flying” that enables student pilots to accurately visualize the aircraft’s attitude at all times. The attitude indicator gives a direct and immediate indication of the pitch attitude of the aircraft. At a constant airspeed, there is only one specific pitch attitude for level flight.
