Use an airborne electronic navigation system.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Use an airborne electronic navigation system.

Bottom line

VOR receivers are designed with an alarm flag to indicate when signal strength is inadequate to operate the navigational equipment. GPS derived altitude should not be relied upon to determine aircraft altitude since the vertical error can be quite large and no integrity is provided.
