Collision hazards.
Collision hazards.
Bottom line
Recent studies of midair collisions determined that: ⦁ Flight instructors were onboard the aircraft in 37 percent of the accidents in the study. ⦁ Most of the aircraft involved in collisions are engaged in recreational flying not on any type of flight plan. Even if entitled to the right-ofway, a pilot should yield if another aircraft seems too close. Proper clearing procedures, combined with proper visual scanning techniques, are the most effective strategy for collision avoidance.
