Maintain directional control and appropriate crosswind correction throughout the approach and landing.
Bottom line
When a swell is not aligned with the wind, the pilot must weigh the dangers posed by the swell against limited crosswind capability, as well as pilot experience. If severe bounces occur, add power and lift off to search for a smoother landing spot.
