Selection of takeoff path based on pilot capability, airplane performance and limitations, available distance, and wind.
Bottom line
The pilot should be thoroughly familiar with the airplane’s performance capabilities and limitations in order to make an informed takeoff decision as part of the preflight planning. In high density altitude conditions, consider not only the length of the water run, but the room required for a safe climbout as well.
