Lift off at the lowest possible airspeed and remain in ground effect while accelerating to VX or VY, as appropriate.
Bottom line
Due to the reduced drag in ground effect, the aircraft may seem capable of takeoff well below the recommended speed. A pilot should not attempt to force an aircraft to become airborne with a deficiency of speed. Best angle-of-climb speed (VX)—the airspeed at which an aircraft gains the greatest amount of altitude in a given distance.
