Propeller safety.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Propeller safety.

Bottom line

A nick in the propeller is a present condition that is a source of danger. Turning the rotating beacon ON or flashing the airplane position lights helps alert persons nearby to remain clear of the propeller. One of the most important safety rules is to ensure there is no one near the propeller prior to starting the engine.
