Securing items and cargo.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Securing items and cargo.

Bottom line

Cargo may be carried if it is in an approved cargo rack, bin, or compartment installed in the airplane. Cargo secured by safety belt or other tiedown must have enough strength to eliminate the possibility of shifting under all normally anticipated flight and ground conditions. Pay attention to how baggage or cargo is secured so the weight is distributed somewhat evenly from side to side.
