Deviation from procedures for lost communications.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Deviation from procedures for lost communications.

Bottom line

The primary objective of the regulations governing communication failures is to preclude extended IFR no-radio operations within the ATC system since these operations may adversely affect other users of the airspace. While following these procedures, set the transponder to code 7600, and use all means possible to reestablish two-way radio communication with ATC.
