ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Hazards associated with providing flight instruction.

Bottom line

Flight instruction has a few hazards that are unique to it, and the resulting risk can be identified, assessed, and mitigated. Risk management during flight instruction includes a consideration of the dangers from maneuvers performed incorrectly by the learner close to the ground, in addition to all the other risks associated with the flight. Prudent risk mitigation includes using a syllabus, providing quality ground instruction, and conducting a thorough briefing before each training flight.
