ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Brief passengers on use of supplemental oxygen equipment in a scenario given by the evaluator.

Bottom line

Continuous-flow oxygen systems are usually provided for passengers. The passenger mask typically has a reservoir bag that collects oxygen from the continuous-flow oxygen system during the time when the mask user is exhaling. Pilot masks sometimes allow greater oxygen flow than passengers’ masks, so it is important that pilots use the masks indicated for them.
