a. Rejected takeoff
Abnormal operations, including planning for: a. Rejected takeoff
Bottom line
During a glassy water takeoff, water drag may prevent the seaplane from accelerating the last few knots to lift-off speed. The careful seaplane pilot always plans ahead and considers the possibility of aborting the takeoff. In all cases of a rejected takeoff, the manufacturer's emergency procedure should be followed.
