ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Various classes and types of airspace.

Bottom line

Class G airspace extends from the surface to the base of the overlying Class E airspace, and although ATC has no authority or responsibility to control air traffic there, VFR minimums still apply. Special use airspace is airspace where activities must be confined because of their nature, or where limitations are imposed on aircraft operations that are not part of those activities, or both. Regardless of weather conditions, an ATC clearance is required prior to operating within Class B airspace.
