Correlate weather information to make a go/no-go decision.
Correlate weather information to make a go/no-go decision.
Bottom line
For a flight under IFR or a flight not in the vicinity of an airport, the pilot in command must become familiar with weather reports and forecasts before beginning the flight. Review forecast information that will affect the proposed flight, such as GFAs, TAFs, prognosis charts, and weather advisories, in a logical order: climbout, en route, and descent. The final decision as to whether the flight can be conducted safely rests solely with the pilot.
