Collision hazards.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Collision hazards.

Bottom line

The airspace used for flight training and practice may be crowded, creating a potential collision hazard. Under certain conditions, it is difficult to see other aircraft because of haze, sunlight, aircraft position, blind spots, and other factors. Effective scanning is accomplished with a series of short, regularly spaced eye movements; each movement should not exceed 10 degrees, and each should be observed for at least 1 second to enable detection.
