Use of an emergency auto-land system, if installed.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Use of an emergency auto-land system, if installed.

Bottom line

In case of pilot incapacitation, an installed Emergency Autoland (EAL) system may take control of an airplane, navigate to an airport, and land without additional human intervention. If the EAL senses erratic flying, it stabilizes the aircraft, and checks for pilot responsiveness. Without further input, the EAL initiates an emergency descent.
