Prepare for landing as specified by the evaluator.
Bottom line
The many variables, such as altitude, obstruction, wind direction, landing direction, landing surface and gradient, and landing distance requirements of the airplane, determine the pattern and approach procedures to use. Use flaps, throttle, and pitch to control the glidepath and establish a stabilized approach at the recommended approach airspeed.
