ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Collision hazards.

Bottom line

A condition, event, or circumstance that could induce an occurrence of a collision or surface accident or incident. If the other aircraft shows no lateral or vertical motion, but is increasing in size, the observing pilot needs to take immediate evasive action to avoid a collision. Proper clearing procedures, combined with proper visual scanning techniques, are the most effective strategy for collision avoidance.
