Recognition of elevator trim stalls.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Recognition of elevator trim stalls.

Bottom line

In a properly trimmed airplane flying with the elevator trailing edge down, turbulence and further slowdown can make the trim tab stop holding the elevator nose-down, so the nose may pitch up into a stall. When the trim tab becomes ineffective, the elevator down spring drives the elevator nose-down, the nose lowers, speed builds up, and a stall is prevented.
