Recover at the first indication of a stall or after a full stall has occurred, as specified by the evaluator.
Bottom line
All pilots should be familiar with the situations that can lead to a cross-control stall, how to recognize and avoid this stall, and how to recover should one occur. The cross-control stall can occur with very little warning and can be deadly if it occurs close to the ground. Losing altitude during recovery from a stall is to be expected.
