Recognition of cross-controlled stalls.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Recognition of cross-controlled stalls.

Bottom line

In order to spin any airplane, a stalled condition needs to exist, and at the stall the presence or introduction of a yawing moment can initiate spin entry. During a VMC demonstration, if there are any symptoms of an impending stall, the pilot should terminate the maneuver immediately by reducing the angle of attack as the throttle is retarded. Noise within the flight deck may mask the sound of the stall warning horn.
