Low altitude maneuvering, including stall, spin, or controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).
Low altitude maneuvering, including stall, spin, or controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).
Bottom line
Loss of control in-flight (LOC-I) is an accident caused by the pilot not maintaining control of the airplane, and many LOC-I accidents are the result of stalls, spins, or accelerated maneuvers. On a rough water landing, make the touchdown at a somewhat flatter pitch attitude than usual. If severe bounces occur during a rough water landing, add power and lift off to search for a smoother landing spot.
