Night currency versus proficiency.
Night currency versus proficiency.
Bottom line
If currency events occurred five months ago, the pilot may lack the proficiency to make the flight safely. Pilots can track night hours and night landings in a certification, training, and experience summary and use that information to set personal minimums. Do not fly into dusk or darkness unless proficient in the use of flight instruments.
