g. Vessel traffic and wakes

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Characteristics of a water surface as affected by features, such as: g. Vessel traffic and wakes

Bottom line

A seaplane on the water is considered a vessel for collision avoidance purposes and must keep well clear of all vessels and avoid impeding their navigation. There is no equivalent of the airport traffic pattern to govern boat traffic. The movements of faster craft, such as speedboats and jet-skis, are unpredictable.
