Select a suitable touchdown point considering wind, landing surface, and obstructions.
Select a suitable touchdown point considering wind, landing surface, and obstructions.
Bottom line
Airports–Runway dimensions may not be sufficient such that a takeoff or landing can be performed safely under the given conditions. On wet runways, directional control can be maximized by landing into the wind. Mechanical braking may be ineffective, so aerodynamic braking should be used to its fullest advantage.
