Bottom line
A STAR is a published IFR air traffic control arrival procedure that provides a transition from the en route structure to the terminal area. STARs are included at the front of each Terminal Procedures Publication (TPP) regional booklet. If a pilot does not have the appropriate STAR, write “No STAR” in the flight plan.
