ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Either manually or with the autopilot engaged, smoothly adjust pitch attitude, bank angle (15°-30°), and power setting in accordance with evaluator’s instructions to an impending stall.

Bottom line

To initiate a power-off approach to stall, a stabilized descent of approximately 500 fpm should be established and trim adjusted. An impending stall occurs when the angle of attack causes a stall warning but has not yet reached the critical angle of attack. Reducing angle of attack is the proper way to recover from a stall event.
