Range and limitations of stall warning indicators (e.g., aircraft buffet, stall horn, stick shaker, etc.).

Bottom line

Indications of an impending stall can include buffeting, stick shaker, or aural warning. Stick shakers normally activate around 107 percent of the actual stall speed. Airplanes without vortex generators may stall with little to no buffet.
