Range and limitations of stall warning indicators (e.g., aircraft buffet, stall horn, stick shaker, etc.).

Bottom line

Stall warning devices may include an aural alert, lights, or a stick shaker, all of which alert the pilot when approaching the critical AOA. Stick shakers normally activate around 107 percent of the actual stall speed. Airplanes without vortex generators may stall with little to no buffet.
