Collision hazards.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Collision hazards.

Bottom line

Most midair collisions occur in VFR weather conditions during weekend daylight hours. The vast majority of midair collision accidents occurred at or near nontowered airports and at altitudes below 1,000 feet. Effective scanning uses a series of short, regularly spaced eye movements, each not exceeding 10° and observed for at least 1 second to enable detection.
