Impact of marine traffic.

ACS element text (the applicant demonstrates understanding of)

Impact of marine traffic.

Bottom line

There is no equivalent of the airport traffic pattern to govern boat traffic, and many watercraft operators may assume seaplanes can always maneuver to avoid them. Seaplanes often operate in areas with extensive recreational or commercial water traffic, and the movements of faster craft such as speedboats and jet-skis are unpredictable. In general, a seaplane on the water must keep well clear of all vessels and avoid impeding their navigation.
