Use of safety programs to manage risk across an organization (e.g., Threat and error management (TEM), or Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP)).
Bottom line
The objective of an ASAP is to encourage employees of air carriers, repair stations, or other entities (collectively referred to as “eligible entities”) to voluntarily report safety information that may be critical to identifying potential precursors to accidents. Under an ASAP, safety issues are resolved through corrective action rather than through punishment or discipline.
