a. Accelerate-stop / accelerate-go distance
How to determine the following, as applicable to the class sought: a. Accelerate-stop / accelerate-go distance
Bottom line
Accelerate-go and accelerate-stop are air carrier performance requirements, along with balanced field length, VMCG, and second segment climb performance. For a turbine-engine-powered transport category airplane certificated after August 29, 1959, the accelerate-stop distance is no greater than the length of the runway plus the length of the stopway, if present. V1 decision speed concepts relate to both accelerate-go and accelerate-stop distances, with and without the effects of a contaminated runway.
